Platsil Gel

PlatSil Gels are platinum-cured silicone rubbers that have become the industry standard for making state-of-the-art theatrical prosthetic devices for film, theater and television.These silicones are used to make creatures , age makeup, injuries, animatronic characters and much more.

With the use of attachments such as Smith's Theatrical Prosthetic Deadener or Deadener LV, PlatSil Gel products provide a smooth feel that can mimic real human skin and tissue. This makes the product ideal for use in prosthetics, making masks or emulating different body parts. As an example with the Platsil system 25 Add Hardener to increase the Shore A to 40. Also Retard slows the drying of PlatSil products.

Body Double™ SILK

Body Double™ SILK is a self-releasing platinum-cure silicone rubber that can be applied directly to the skin to make molds of the face, hands and other body parts. The rubber cures quickly and will reproduce excellent detail from any original model.

Body Double™ Fast Set is skin safe and is certified by an independent laboratory. OECD TG 439 certification. No animals were used in testing.

Body Double™ SILK will release from closely cropped hair-covered skin surfaces(short beards, mustaches, eyebrows, pubic hair, etc.). Release cream or Hyperfolic are not needed when using Body Double™ SILK. Body Double™ SILK will last for many castings of almost any material including plaster, Matrix™ Neo™, wax, resins (Smooth-Cast urethanes, polyester, etc.)

Body Double™ SILK has a working time of 6 minutes and a demold time of 20 minutes*.

Simpact™ Series -Tough, Fast Setting Urethanes

Simpact™ 60A and 85A urethanes are low odor, fast-setting urethane elastomers which offers very high tear strength, impact resistance and wear resistance. Simpact™ urethanes are suitable for making impact resistant props, prototypes and display pieces. Simpact™ is a low odor, low shrink formulation that is phthalate free, mercury free and MOCA free.

Infinite Color Combinations

Simpact™ urethanes offer exceptional performance characteristics and dimensional stability. They can be colored with SO-Strong™, UVO™ or Ignite™ colorants for a wide range of color choices and safe for aquariums and other display applications.

As Strong As It Gets

Simpact™ 60A and 85A urethanes have extraordinary tear strength as well as high impact and wear resistance. Ideal for making highly tear and impact resistant props, prototypes and display pieces.

Smooth-Cast™ 45D, 57D,60D, 65D, 66D

The Smooth-Cast™ Semi-Rigid line of low-cost semi-rigid urethane casting resins cure quickly to semi-rigid plastics that offer excellent impact resistance. These plastics are easy-to-use (mix ratio is 1A:1B by volume) and have low viscosities for minimal bubble entrapment. Vibrant colors are possible by adding SO-Strong™color tints or Ignite™ color pigments.

These semi-rigid plastics will really take a beating and offer exceptional abrasion resistance. They are good for making high-impact resistance tools, prototypes, abrasion resistant parts, foundry patterns, roller facings, vibration pads, fast concrete stamping pads, etc.
